Savory Blood Orange Vinaigrette

This Savory Blood Orange Vinaigrette has the most incredible citrus highlights.  The shallots, garlic and mustard lend the savory quality.  It is so subtly sweet yet it is completely savory at the same time.   Not only is this dressing delicious but it is also festive due to the gorgeous hot pink and orange colors!
It is just too easy to make up a salad dressing without all the preservatives, soybean and/or canola oil added to them.  Not to mention it’s a fraction of the cost.
Savory Blood Orange Vinaigrette Savory Blood Orange Vinaigrette Recipe:
Approx. 2 Cups
  •  3/4 Cup Blood Orange Juice – fresh squeezed
  • 1 Teaspoon Blood Orange Zest – micro planed
  • 2 or 1/4 Cup Shallots – minced
  • 2 Cloves Garlic – minced
  • 1 Cup Extra Virgin Olive Oil
  • 2 Tablespoons Champagne Vinegar
  • 2 Tablespoons Sherry Vinegar
  • 1 Teaspoon Dijon Mustard
  • 1/2 Teaspoon Sea Salt
  • Dash Black Pepper

Add the mustard, orange juice, orange zest and salt to a medium bowl then whisk together.

Next whisk in the champagne vinegar, sherry vinegar and then slowly whisk in the olive oil.  Stir in the garlic and shallots.
