Brewers Yeast Scrub/Mask for Mature, Oily or Acne Skin

written by STEPH June 26, 2014

The great thing about this is it is a scrub and a mask all in one.  It is soothing from the oats yet stimulating from the brewers yeast and will regenerate and bring oxygen to your skin while tightening your pores.  You will love how it brings a glow to your skin.

Brewers-Yeast-Scrub-and-Mask

Recipe: 1/2 Cup

  • 1/4 Cup Steel Cut Oats
  • 2 Tablespoons Brewers Yeast
  • 2 Tablespoons Cup Almonds
  • 3 Drops Lavender Essential Oil
  • 1 Drops Lemon Essential Oil
  • Olive Oil and/or Honey  (Optional)

Instructions:

Grind the almonds until coarsely ground in a food processor then add the oats pulse a few times then add the brewer’s yeast and turn on then drop the lavender in while on until well combined.

Wash your face, neck and chest and add a little of the scrub/mask in your hand or small bowl and mix with a little water, oil and/or honey for extra moister and scrub in circular motions very lightly letting the scrub do the work then leave on for 15 – 20 minutes and rinse well.

* If you use honey make sure your face is wet with water or a hydrolsol otherwise it’s to sticky to scrub.

*You will feel tingling from the brewers yeast, this is normal.  It is bringing circulation to your skin.

Or you can apply this in the shower, first wash your face, neck, chest, arms and hands then gently scrub in circular motions and leave on while you wash your hair and body etc. rinse off.

Spray with a toner and apply a face oil or lotion to trap in the toner.
