Bing Cherry Presbyterian

Makes an 8 oz cocktail

Ingredients

  • 2 oz Four Roses Bourbon
  • 1 oz Fresh Lime Juice
  • 1 oz Simple Syrup also good with Thyme Simple Syrup
  • 1/2 oz Ginger Syrup
  • 2-3 oz Sparkling Water
  • 6 Fresh Cherries

Simple Syrup - 4 Cocktails

  • 1/2 Cup Organic Granulated Sugar
  • 1/4 Cup Hot water

Ginger Syrup

  • 1/4  Cup Organic Granulated Sugar
  • 1/4 Cup Purified Water
  • 1 1/2 oz Fresh Juiced Ginger = about 1 large finger sized pieces of fresh ginger
  • Profile: Original recipe from Classic~Refreshing/Strong
  • Glass:  Collins Glass
  • Garnish:  Cherry or Lime Wedge

Instructions

Simple Syrup

  1. Add sugar and hot water together, stir until dissolved.

Ginger Syrup

  1. Bring one cup of filtered water to a boil then add one cup of organic cane sugar. Add fresh ginger to syrup in hot pan let steep for 10-15 min.

Cocktail

  1. Remove the stems from 6 cherries, add simple syrup, lime juice, ginger syrup and muddle cherries until completely smashed.
  2. Add bourbon, ice and shake.
  3. Strain the cherry juices over ice into a collins glass and top with sparkling water.
