Sprinkles Cupcakes

I love not only the delicious taste of most of these flavor filled cups of goodness but the fact that the company cares about their carbon footprint on the environment makes it even better.

Sprinkles6 Candace Nelson is the founder of Sprinkles Cupcakes her great-grandmother was renowned for the distinctive desserts she made at her San Francisco restaurant during the 1930’s. She created pure, delicious, uncomplicated pastries –the result of her French culinary roots and her new American working life.

“These days, as I sift, whisk and frost at the bakery I began with my husband in Beverly Hills, I imagine our scratch-based cupcakes as a natural extension of my great grandmother’s legacy”. Candace Nelson  Sprinkles4

The Sprinkles philosophy is that they care about our environment, a philosophy reflected in the purchasing decisions and company practices.

Sprinkles2 The bakery boxes, napkins, shopping bags and gift boxes are made from recycled materials.  They take sustainability seriously by purchasing high quality dairy and produce from local farms where available.  Other efforts include the use of green cleaning products and programs to maximize waste recycling and minimize water usage.
